Bio:

Professor Ashley Binetti Armstrong teaches the first-year Lawyering course and leads a reading group on barriers to asylum at NYU School of Law. Armstrong's scholarship analyzes refugee law in international, regional, and domestic settings. Her recent projects critically evaluate refugee rights and the concepts of nonrefoulement, safe third country, and responsibility-sharing as they relate to asylum seekers in the United States and Europe. Armstrong’s research has been published or is forthcoming in the Chicago Journal of International Law, Columbia Human Rights Law Review, Georgetown Journal of International Law, and others.
