Bio:

Bo is a PhD candidate at the School of Law, University of East Anglia, where she is conducting socio-legal research into refugee resettlement policy and practice in the UK. She has a background in policy and public affairs at a national charity as well as research and project management in contemporary art. Whilst her PhD research focuses primarily on the UK, Bo is also keen to collaborate with researchers looking more broadly at discourses of humanitarianism, responsibility, vulnerability, and sovereignty in refugee protection

Working title for PhD thesis title and affiliation:

  • ‘Refugee resettlement in the UK: sovereignty, community, vulnerability’ - UEA School of Law, supervised by Professor Kirsten McConnachie (principle) and Senior Lecturer John Turnpenny (secondary).
