Zoë is a PhD student at the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice (CENDEP), Oxford Brookes University. Her work looks at household-level refugee hosting relationships in Jordan and how they are impacted by the practices of humanitarian actors. She teaches on the core ‘An Introduction to Refugee and Forced Migration Studies) on the MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, and on the MA Humanitarian Practice and Peacebuilding and the MA Development and Emergency Practice programmes at CENDEP. She has several years’ experience working in humanitarian response to urban displacement in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, and Jordan. She is currently working on the ESRC/GCRF ‘from Education to Employment’ project in Lebanon and on consultancy work in the Central African Republic.
