Research Affiliates Network

The RLI Research Affiliates network provides a forum for doctoral students and early career researchers working on refugee law topics to engage with other doctoral students and researchers in academic exchanges relating to research and developments in the field. The Research Affiliate scheme is open to any researcher who has completed a doctorate or is registered on a programme on a relevant topic at the time of application, or those who've recently completed a PhD.

Research Affiliates are actively encouraged to attend RLI events and to take the lead on initiating their own events and projects through the RLI, for which support may be available. We expect affiliates to support the networks by, each year, participating in two to three of the RLI events, publishing a blog or paper on one of the RLI platforms, or similar kinds of academic engagement.

If you are interested in joining the RLI Research Affiliates network, please send the following documents to rli@sas.ac.uk:

  • A Cover Letter
  • Scanned Proof of your Doctoral enrolment from your Academic Institution
  • A copy of your CV
  • A photograph
