Hana Asfour is founding partner and head of research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) at Parallel Perspective Management Consulting in Jordan (http://qperspective.com/). The focus on her work for the last 15 years has centred on gender, forced migration, and sustainable human development with an emphasis on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Some of the recent work that Hana completed at Q Perspective include a baseline assessment conducted between 2018 and 2019 for the EU MADAD Fund’s ‘Strengthening access to protection, participation and services for women refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities’ Project implemented in Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq/KR-I by the Euromed Feminist Initiative. She also completed a mid-term evaluation of the International Rescue Committee’s (IRC’s) ‘Delivering Humanitarian Assistance and Building Resilience of Conflict-Affected Individuals in Syria’ Project in 2018, which is funded by DFID and focuses on supporting the needs of conflict-affected people in Syria including IDPs. Prior to establishing Q Perspective, Hana was employed at the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in Jordan.

Hana also completed her Postdoctoral degree in 2016 in Health and Social Studies from the University of Warwick and her thesis investigated the intersectionality of gender and citizenship on the livelihood strategies of protracted refugees, through a case study of Palestinians in Jerash, Jordan.
