Bio
Dilahan Bice Kurtoglu is a PhD student at Warwick where she examines asylum seekers' understanding of and experiences in complex asylum procedures from a critical perspective by using socio-legal methodologies. She is interested in exploring what impact the contemporary practice of asylum adjudication creates on individuals within the system. Her project’s title is “A Socio-legal Study of the Individual in Everyday Realities of the Asylum Process: The Case of Greece”.
Before starting her PhD, Dilahan completed her LL.M. at Sussex Law School with a Distinction degree. She holds a bachelor's degree in Law from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey and has the certification to practice law in Turkey as a registered member of Ankara Bar Association since 2019.
