Bio

Dilek Türközü is a Ph.D. candidate and research associate at the Walther Schücking Institute of International Law of Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (Kiel University, Germany). In her dissertation, she focuses on the onward movement of refugees and asylum-seekers and the concept of protection elsewhere under international refugee law. She also teaches introduction to international refugee law courses and Turkish law at Kiel University.

She received her Bachelor of Laws degree with a full scholarship at Cankaya University (Ankara, Türkiye) in 2016. At Kiel University, she completed the LL.M Int. Program with Summa cum Laude and submitted an LL.M thesis on temporary protection of migrants under public international public law, EU law, and Turkish law in 2018.
