Bio
Dr Bríd Ní Ghráinne is an expert in forced migration, particularly the Law of Internally Displaced Persons and International Refugee Law. She is an Associate Professor at Maynooth University, a Senior Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Institute of International Relations, Prague and the University of Reading; and a Senior Research Affiliate of the Refugee Law Initiative and Internal Displacement Research Programme. Her book, Internally Displaced Persons and International Refugee Law, was published by Oxford University Press in 2022. She has advised the UN, Council of Europe, and various NGOs on the Law of Internally Displaced Persons and is a frequent expert commentator in national and international media. Dr Ní Ghráinne holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, an LLM in Public International Law from Universiteit Leiden, and a BCL (International) from NUI Galway.
