Dr. Rebecca Stern
Bio
Rebecca Stern is a Senior Lecturer in Public International Law at the University of Uppsala and a Senior Researcher at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Lund University; both in Sweden. She teaches Human Rights Law, Public International Law, Migration Law and The Rights of the Child. She is also the Coordinator of L/UMIN, a newly established research collaboration between the universities of Uppsala and Lund. Her current research focuses on the implementation of international law on the domestic level from a rights-based perspective, and on the interface between international law, EU law and national law in the field of refugee and subsidiary protection. She has previously worked for the Swedish Aliens Appeals Board, the Refugee Advice Centre and the Swedish Red Cross.
