Bio

Ileana Nicolau is currently a doctoral researcher at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute (EUI). She holds a BA in Latin American Studies and an MA in International Security, both from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). She has also taught seminars on international and forced migration, as well as worked for ICMPD, the European Commission or UNHCR, on related issues. 

Her research interest lies in the study of IDP laws and policies, from their content to their implementation. In her doctoral dissertation, she examine and compare IDP response in Colombia, Kenya, and Peru.
