Bio

Leonard Chimanda Joseph is a doctoral researcher currently in his first year at the University of Sussex School of Law. He is researching on the project entitled “The Role of the Global Compact on Refugees in Identifying Durable Solutions Applicable to Burundian Refugees Self-Settled in Kigoma Villages in Tanzania”. He is currently a member of the University of Dar es Salaam Research Chair in Forced Displacement, a project funded by IDRC. He is also employed as an assistant lecturer at the University of Dodoma in Tanzania, and he teaches Refugee Law, Human Rights Law, and International Humanitarian Law.
