Bio

Matilde Rocca is a PhD candidate at the University of Padova and currently a visiting PhD fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on the role of private actors in the context of maritime migration and international law. Matilde was previously a visiting research fellow at the University of Bergen as part of the Horizon 2020 ‘PROTECT’ project. She obtained her Master of Laws at the London School of Economics and was awarded the Lauterpacht/Higgins Prize for best performance in public international law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with International Relations from the University of Sussex.
