Bio

Mutsuhisa Ban is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Tokyo. He is appointed to research fellow at Cabinet Office, the Government of Japan and engaged in public policy practice.
Mutsuhisa is conducting research on refugee law and policy, as well as other international human rights instruments such as Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) from both practical and normative perspective. He is also pursuing the way(s) how to implement human rights and humanitarian norms via mathematical, computational and behavioural methods -- particularly on the framework called social software, where the crossroads of mechanism design, decision/game theory and formal epistemology.
