This workshop will investigate the role of supra-national actors in responding to emerging patterns of displacement and new cross-continental migration routes.

Questions to be discussed

  • What is the role of the African Union and Regional Economic Communities in responding to different forms of displacement?
  • Do externalisation practices stop movement?
  • Have supra-national actors been slow to respond to climate induced mobility on the continent?
